What is a good street racing vehicle?

Don't bother telling me how against the law it is, I plan on racing in closed circuits and yeah I am already aware of the danger. I need to know what a good, fast, and sick car will work as a street racing vehicle. I own a 2002 Ford Ranger V6 can I somehow turn that into a street vehicle? Thanks
