My wma audio file is not working?

well when i hit just normal play in windows media it plays but it says it is 0 length when i scroll over it i also can not fast forward it, and when i try and import it into any other software like sony vegas movie studio it says it is corrupt. how do i fix it? i know its not corrupt because i can hear it when i play it.
